We Also Treat Bunions and Warts

Plantar wart treatment is another common reason our patients come to our office. The most prescribed solution is a salicylic acid treatment that you use at home to remove the wart over time. We might also choose to use cryotherapy or freezing of the wart with liquid nitrogen. This can take a few treatments and may be combined with salicylic acid for enhanced efficiency. In some situations, we might also perform surgery, laser treatment, immune therapy, or other treatments for removal.

A bunion arises due to an enlargement of the joint on the side of the big toe after the toe moves out of place. This creates problems as the toes rub against footwear, and the big toe often angles in toward the other toes. This can be quite painful and eventually lead to hammertoe. Possible treatments include removal of any calluses, using special footwear or protective padding, implementing orthotic devices, wearing splints or bunionectomy (bunion surgery) in major cases.
