Personalized Treatment for Plantar Fasciitis in Greenville
Since 1986, Greenville Podiatry Associates PA has served the Greenville area, helping to diagnose and treat common foot problems, such as plantar fasciitis treatment. This problem is characterized by heel pain as well as stiffness, especially first thing in the morning or after sitting for a long time. Runners and those who are constantly standing or walking on hard surfaces commonly develop the disorder, which is one reason it is also known as “Policeman's Heel.” People with high arches or flat feet are at a higher risk of developing the condition, as are those who are overweight or female.
We Can Treat Bunions & Warts
Plantar wart treatment is another common reason our patients come to our office. The most commonly prescribed solution is a salicylic acid treatment that you use at home to remove the wart over time. We might also choose to use cryotherapy, or freezing of the wart with liquid nitrogen. This can take a few treatments, and may be combined with salicylic acid for enhanced efficiency. In some situations, we might also perform surgery, laser treatment, immune therapy or other treatments for removal.
A bunion arises due to an enlargement of the joint on the side of the big toe after the toe moves out of place. This creates problems as the toes rub against footwear, and the big toe often angles in toward the other toes. This can be quite painful and eventually lead to hammertoe. Possible treatments include removal of any calluses, using special footwear or protective padding, implementing orthotic devices, wearing splints or bunionectomy (bunion surgery) in major cases.
